Brief summary of my role & main achievements for organization listed on my Curriculum Vitea .
As Logistic Manager My duties and Responsibilities are the following
Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, tracking transportation vehicles, such as reefer truck and trailers. Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
Ensuring that all operations are carried out in accordance with Ethiopian laws and regulations, particularly relating to health and safety; monitors user departments by analysis of vehicle and equipment utilization and evaluation of equipment specifications.
Ensure the procurement of goods, supplies and services follow the procurement policy and procedures and also full documentation on timely manner affected for running of the Ethiopia program and operation.
Ensure the safety and security of the staffs on the region and If there is an Alarm then immediately inform to the central officer with the coordination regional or local administration.
Contacts ARRA, the regional ministry of health office, regional ministry of agriculture and federal police for certification of unfit food for disposal.
Supply Chain management - Takes overall responsibilities and supervision regarding to the implementation and the respect of supply procedure and polices, determine the adequate purchasing procedure regarding specific polices, procedure, donor guide lines& specific technical constraints. Implement& manage the project price list regularly surveying of market price of the equipment, Consumables and material commonly bought and list of supplies for supplies purchase continuously.
Fleet Management – Ensure overall management of the vehicle fleet & ensure response to the needs of the requester ,Supervise implementation and follow up of existing fleet management procedure and polices .Ensure and consolidate national vehicle fuel consumption ,Consumable use price (like engine oil, spare bulbs ……) and induced costs ,plan and ensure vehicle periodic& temporary (Incident ) maintenance ,consolidate monthly vehicle maintenance and costs ,follow –up vehicle documentation (log-book ,maintenance book ,rental Contacts ,report ).
Fixed Asset ,Current Asset , Utilities Management - Ensure the follow up of equipment ,Consolidate fixed assets monthly statements & inventories ,Organize and follow up stocks and potential warehouse ,Follow up the equipment status and documentation (like use ,Deprecation cost ,Expire date ,Working condition ,warranty ,costs..)Organize and follow up preventive maintenance and repair of the assets .Follow up the utilities contracts, payments, energy and problems of the Office and houses, (security, Clearness, Water, Telephone, and Internet &Faxes.
Commodity Management – Responsible for the proper coordination and management of all types of commodities in the region .Generally to ensure the application all commodity management standards ,documentation and movement of commodity to and from the region .responsible for receiving food and other commodities into the region warehouse and woreda warehouses and dispatching to the secondary warehouses
